Personal Update

Just an update on what I've been up to lately. Well I finished mid terms and am officially on spring break for the next week...YAAAAAHOOOOO!! I have lots of big plans for this week, I am going to finish the kitchen, and the bathroom, get the garage cleaned out and organized, and getting the new floor put in the bathroom. I will post some pics next weekend to see how far I got..I want to put some new chaser pictures up also, he is getting HUGE! Well, I better get busy and hopefully will have some great before and after pics for next week. OH, and also HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME ON THE 23rd. LOL

Well, what's the one thing I need in my house more than anything? A new puppy right? LOL Holly got a puppy, named it Chaser, he is lad/border collie mix, and super cute and funny. So far things are going great. He is smart and she is training him already. He is about 7 weeks old in these pics. So, I guess he is my new grand Furbaby!

I finally got my new laptop, so I am back in business folks! It's been kinda hard since my stuff got stolen, and I was borrowing, (i was very grateful for) but it was old and slow and now I am on my brand new super duper way cool laptop haha. And my new soltware, (elements 7) is suppose to be here tomorrow. So I'm gonna be scrappin away! Oh yeah, except that I have to start school in a week...lol.

I was actually able to decorate the outside of my house this year. As some know I've had an ongoing battle with how to attach lights to my metal roof. But thanks to Lowes and a new product I am back in the christmas spirit. I did a fun treasure hunt this christmas for Holly's present, check out the layout it did about it.

Well, I am so ashamed because I have been so neglectful of my blog. Since my computer was stolen, I haven't done much, then got busy with the holidays and all. ok ok enough excuses, My new years resolution is to really keep up with this blog, and make it a great place for you all to hang out. I feel like I invited every one into my house and then was a terrible hostess..LOL.

Just to catch up since Nov. School is out for the winter break, and I finished on the honor roll..WooHoo. I'm so proud!. Not bad since my laptop, my books and all my notebooks were stolen a week before finals..LOL I'm now gearing up for spring semester and the start of my senior yr. It's been a long road and I can't believe I'm this close to the finish line. And I'm starting to look at grad schools and doing applications for that. (thats scary).

In other new, the house saga continues, In Oct my water heater broke upstairs and flooded the downstairs bathroom. Anyway I filed a claim with my homeowners and so far the check has been lost at least once and I am still waiting for it. So I really want to get the damage fixed before the toilet falls through the floor, (seriously). I have a friends son that is gonna come and do some work for me this weekend, so I am very excited about that. My kitchen is still kinda of torn apart and ugly, but hey I have a great new stove finally and we cooked thanksgiving dinner here. that was fun, (check out the pics) Although it looks like it is in the middle of contruction,(cuz it is) at least I finally feel like I am getting some where with fixing up my little casa, (after 2 yrs of just living with it).

On to scrapbooking news. I am one of three Challenge Coordinators at MSS and am having a blast doing that. meeting lots of great fellow scrappers and really enjoying being a part of this great team. So check out all my new pics and links and download freebies and all. I promise to post at least once a week in 2009, (man that's weird saying 2009) lol.

Hi all my friends and neighbors, I have some exciting news to share with you. My favorite scrapbooking site, My Scrap Shop is having a birthday this week. They are one year old and they are celebrating like crazy. The best part is that they give US presents instead of the other way around. Hi, this is Vickie, and welcome to my house, please come in, kick your shoes off, get comfy, and make yourself at home. I don't really have a definite idea of what this blog is going to be about yet, I think I'll just let it unfold as it may. So don't be shy about posting any kind of comment you like, about any subject you'd like to. I know there will be scrap booking on here, of that you can be sure, but there will also be things about me and my life, like school, kids, pets, and my work in progress house, (my real house), although this one is also a work in progress...:) At my house there is always an open door to friends, so drop on by and hang out with me for awhile!
